Lewis Takes Maiden F1 Victory
New British F1 genius Lewis Hamilton scored his maiden F1 victory yesterday in Montreal, Canada - and celebrated in traditional style…

The scary thing is… it was only his 6th race EVER in Formula 1. I’m not certain, but I’m pretty sure that must be a record, as is (probably) a rookie driver being on the podium in the first six races of his career!
He really is a breath of fresh air in british F1 - a racer, prepared to go for it and not frightened of taking risks. It’s really great to watch, and I wish him all the luck in the world. I’ll stop short of hoping for a title win in his first season….
Well done Lewis!
In other F1 news, Robert Kubica is unharmed and will be released from hospital this morning after his spectacular crash…

It’s a credit to the safety in Formula 1 these days that Robert is unhurt after this massive accident, I’m sure anyone who saw it would call it a miracle. It’s certainly the worst accident I’ve seen since Senna was killed in 1994.
Just one thing if you’re listening Bernie… can we have more races like Canada please?!
