Lewis Takes Maiden F1 Victory

New British F1 genius Lewis Hamilton scored his maiden F1 victory yesterday in Montreal, Canada - and celebrated in traditional style…

Lewis wins in Canada!

The scary thing is… it was only his 6th race EVER in Formula 1. I’m not certain, but I’m pretty sure that must be a record, as is (probably) a rookie driver being on the podium in the first six races of his career!

He really is a breath of fresh air in british F1 - a racer, prepared to go for it and not frightened of taking risks. It’s really great to watch, and I wish him all the luck in the world. I’ll stop short of hoping for a title win in his first season…. :)

Well done Lewis!

In other F1 news, Robert Kubica is unharmed and will be released from hospital this morning after his spectacular crash…

Robert Kubica was unharmed after this accident!

It’s a credit to the safety in Formula 1 these days that Robert is unhurt after this massive accident, I’m sure anyone who saw it would call it a miracle. It’s certainly the worst accident I’ve seen since Senna was killed in 1994.

Just one thing if you’re listening Bernie… can we have more races like Canada please?!
